Wednesday Tea Salon

by Kyle Huewe

Tonight, November 14th, don’t miss a relaxing, artistic evening in Echo Park with the Wednesday Tea Salon Presented by Bellum at Tom House and hosted by Rick Castro. The evening will include hand-blended teas, cakes, dainties, “engaging” jovial chants, and, of course, a viewing of erotic art.

Tom House will be showcasing the homoerotic illustrations of Tom of Finland, having just celebrated the 17-year anniversary of his death last week. Tom was known for highly stylized and masculinized fetish art, an important influencer of gay culture in the late 20th century. He is considered one of the most important creators of gay imagery, having produced some 3500 illustrations over the course of four decades.
