Guess. What.  _The Avengers: Infinity War_ official trailer was just released today. That’s what. After ten years and eighteen movies, the Avengers saga continues with what feels like a certain end. Early this morning Marvel Entertainment released the two-minute clip of drama, action, and a splash of that well-known-superhero-Marvel-comedy to the public (We’re looking at you, Peter Parker). After the successful box-office success of _Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War_ will surely be epic. For those of you who have not seen the trailer or not caught up with the Avengers storyline, spoilers are coming your way. The clip opens up with a panoramic view of New York City with Gamora’s voice speaking background, “The entire time I knew him, he only ever had one call: To wipe out half the universe.” The clip starts out heavy and grim, the kind of tone that is reminiscent of the film’s predecessor, _Avengers: Age of Ultron_ (we all know how that went). Following, we have Cap' with a new shield and dressed in black (Nomad, is that you?) a blonde Black Widow, and fan favorite Black Panther gearing up for an all-out war against the movie franchise long-awaited villain, Thanos. There are multiple hints of tragedy in the trailer’s release along with what feels like a definite finale of the Avengers MCU, “What we always try to do at Marvel Studios is we’re building a cinematic universe is look at the big picture, how can things relate across movies and across years.” said Avengers Producer, [Kevin Feige](https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=81&v=sAOzrChqmd0) last year in the production of _Avengers: Infinity War_. “_Avengers: Infinity War_ is a culmination of the entire Marvel cinematic universe as started in May of 2008 when we released _Iron Man_ one. We know that they will face Thanos. We’ve been setting it up since _Avengers_ one.” As confirmed, the trailer boasts the dramatic end with our characters coming together for the final fight. Not all the trailer clip seems to be engrossed in serious drama and tragedy; our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man makes an appearance and breaks the grim ambiance when introducing himself to Dr. Strange. He introduces himself as Peter, then, as Spider-Man after comically believing that Stephen Strange was using his “made-up” name to introduce himself (oh, Spidey). We’ll have a good laugh where it’s needed after we’re destroyed from all the emotional turmoil that will evidently follow. Thrilled, Marvel has yet to disappoint us with what it has been doing for ten years, by embodying what fans love from Marvel comics and putting it on the silver screen. Not to get weepy and ahead of myself, but damn, if this is the beginning of an end, then I’m glad it’s with a bang. I’ll see you center row at the theaters. Bring tissues. * * * Written by: Leslie Gonzalez
