Vivienne Westwood's Eccentric and Political FW '17/'18 Campaign is Out
Vivienne Westwood recently dropped two Fall/Winter campaigns. Andreas Kronthaler’s FW campaign for VW is eccentric and political, going green with requests to stop climate change. The artistic relationship between Vivienne and Andreas is magnetic, combining fashion with worldly disputes.
Kronthaler’s collection features bold colors and graphics that highlight political issues within the United States, specifically Trump's plan to build a wall separating Mexico and America. The collection reads as a dynamic story. The synopsis includes a family that enjoys a picnic with porcelain plates on the Mexican border.
Vivienne’s collection incorporates unisex clothing with the premise of "Buy less, choose well, make it last" limiting the maltreatment of the planet’s natural resources. The collection is a request for a responsible government, responsible citizens, and a call for action in environmentalism.
As a design team, the mixture of Andreas Kronthaler and Vivienne Westwood results in the perfect recipe for truth and justice in terms of global issues translated into fashion garments.
