Daniel Martin Diaz “ENIGMA” at LA LUZ DE JESUS GALLERY. Known for his thought-provoking artwork that transports onlookers to secret places and entices them to question their own reality, Daniel Martin Díaz longed to create a series of images that encourage viewers to get involved in the mysteries of fate, science, and the unknown. After years of contemplation, Díaz has created these cards as interactive ciphers that invite us to explore the realms of reality and divination. When ? Oct. 5–Oct. 28.
Wallspace at the Photo Independent Los Angeles. Wallspace will be exhibiting exclusively Jen Zahigian. Photo Independent LA, is an annual photography art fair held in Hollywood, which made its debut in 2014. When? Oct. 5–Oct. 7.
Hudson Marquez “Silk Sirens” at LA LUZ DE JESUS GALLERY. Hudson Marquez was a founding partner of the Ant Farm Collective, creator of the groundbreaking Cadillac Ranch art installation and a co-founder of the TVTV video collective. He has been voted into the Broadcast Hall of Fame and has exhibited at the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Museum of Modern Art, the Houston Museum of Fine Art and the Houston Contemporary Arts Museum. Johnny Otto’s WATER & SPIRIT at Radiant Space. WATER & SPIRIT features new paintings by Johnny Otto. This will be Otto’s first solo show in 13 years. In addition to new paintings by the Artist, it will feature music and some other surprises. When? Oct. 6–Nov. 3.
UTA Artist Space Presents Ai Weiwei: Cao / Humanity. Cover star of Flaunt’s October Art Issue, Ai Weiwei will be opening his exhibit at the UTA Artist Space location in Beverly Hills. Centered around a global campaign in reaction to the millions displaced by war, famine, and climate crisis, the exhibit will run from Oct. 4–Dec. 8. Check out Flaunt’s article on Ai here.
